Try brewing your own Makgeolli at home with this simple DIY Korean Rice Wine (Makgeolli) Home Brew Kit. You can simply make it in 24 hours!  It is designed for anyone to easily make without a fuss with easy-to-follow steps.

Makgeolli is a minimally filtered, fermented rice drink that has been loved by Koreans for generations. Makgeolli is Korea's oldest alcoholic beverage and used to be considered a "farmer's wine".  It's traditionally made with three ingredients, rice, Korean fermentation started called nuruk, and water.

Directions:

1. Put one pouch of makgeolli powder  (280g) and one small pouch of enzyme preparation (20g) into a container, and add 2 liters (about 1/2 gallon) of lukewarm water. 2. Stir evenly using a whisk. Ferment it indoors for 24 hours with the lid lightly covered. (If the lid is completely closed, gas may be generated during aging, causing the bottle to overflow.)
3. Fermentation is complete after 24 hours. Pour Makgeolli into a suitable bottle and store it in the refrigerator.

* Refrigerated storage is good for 30 days.
* Close the lid to keep it cool and prevent alcohol from evaporating.
