Have you ever checked the ingredients of the ‘olive oil seaweed’ sold in the market? While the front of the packaging prominently displays "Olive Oil" in the product name for promotional purposes, a look at the on the back reveals that in most cases, olive oil is added in very small amounts to oils such as canola or corn oil. This is because using only olive oil, which makes up nearly 40% of the ingredients in seasoned seaweed, would drive up production costs significantly. However, Kkotma Haedam Gim uses only 100% olive oil.
