Dangozai Premium Earthenware Jars 3PC SET

This premium earthenware jar, shaped just like Hangari, is traditionally used for preserving pickled foods. It is conveniently sized to fit the modern lifestyle while letting you experience the traditional Korean style of cooking and presentation. Made with Korean onggi by artisans of Dangozai, it is often described as a “breathing” container due to its breathability. Onggi earthenware keeps temperature stable and food fresh. Onggi earthenware was originally created to preserve Korean soybean paste, red pepper paste, kimchi, and other fermented foods. Now it is largely used to make everyday kitchenware such as hot pots, plates, and other items. 

Due to the unique characteristics of Onggi, it evenly transmits heat and preserves the individual taste of the ingredients, even if it is boiled for a long time. It also preserves the heat for a long time while eating. 

Good on gas range stove, hot plate & highlight stove, dishwasher, microwave, oven (only up to 392°F). Do not use it on an induction stove.

How to use Earthenware Jars:

Earthenware requires attention to shocks and rapid temperature changes. If you follow the instructions below, it is a product that can be used for a long time.

• Do not heat while the jar is empty.
• Do not pour cold water directly into a heated jar.
• Do not heat the cold jar right away.

The earthenware jar has pores, so use baking soda rather than detergent to clean it.

When using for the first time, it is helpful to boil with rice or flour water once to slightly fill the gaps in the pores.
